2018 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards
As the only awards program dedicated to recognising excellence and thought leadership in the industry, the Marketing Awards celebrate everything that makes marketing great in this country.
2018's theme – ‘Same Tools, Different Results’ – highlights the rapid shifts continuing to shake the industry. It’s also a nod to the many ways in which marketers continue to embrace the change and take marketing forward to new places, in new ways. Aiming to make it the best awards programme on the annual calendar, ICG work hard in partnership with the Marketing Association to deliver on all fronts. We help choose each year’s theme, and execute all the creative around it. We examine the programme carefully each year, updating the categories by adding and removing awards to closely reflect what’s going on in the industry.
The Awards programme runs from late March through to September, with the initial call for entries sent out using our StopPress database. We cover all the winners in the September issue of NZ Marketing Magazine, which is made available at 11pm on Awards Night, as soon as all the unveiling is over.
We work closely with TVNZ to produce our now-infamous intro videos, featuring uniquely quirky MC Te Radar, as well as the winners’ videos and Marketing Hall of Fame reel.
With 28 awards available for sponsorship, the Marketing Awards media package goes well beyond the average ‘put your logo here’ opportunity. Custom media packages place sponsors in a unique position to create tailored experiences and appeal to marketing’s big names. This includes experiential opportunities at the VIP cocktail bar and Winners Lounge – for example, 2018 punters could get their makeup freshened for free in a popup beauty parlour courtesy of Bauer Media’s new beauty hub. Packages also include ongoing editorial exposure by the NZ Marketing/StopPress team, reaching tens of thousands of influential eyes.
The Marketing Awards are about celebrating the big picture – the thinking, planning, strategy and smarts behind the finished product. In the same vein, each year we ensure the Marketing Awards delivers the whole package: accolades that benchmark excellence, judges with serious marketing star power, an unrivalled platform for sponsors, and a night out to remember (if only partially).
