Teeny House Competition

Our amazing Editor for Habitat by Resene Emma Rawson, conceptualised a Teeny House Competition for her client, that saw decorators young and old transform a cardboard dollhouse into teeny, tiny works of art using Resene colours and wallpapers. SCG also manufactured the cardboard teeny houses too so it was a full 360 project!

“This competition encouraged people to bring their big creative ideas to life on a miniature scale,” says Emma Rawson.

The winning adult’s entry came from Sirpa Alalaakkola of Picton whose teeny house featured a rock-climbing wall and a miniature statue of David. Zoe McBride, won the children’s category for her design which featured a disco room and an aquarium. The best family effort entry came from Kate Cater and her teenage daughters Anna and Maddie who made a mid-century inspired teeny home with an open staircase stained in Resene Bark wood stain.
