Credit Control / Assistant Accountant

A great opportunity has arisen in our Finance team.  The role is a permanent full time position for accounts champion who is a team player with excellent collaboration skills.  SCG is a high volume of transactions business so if you are energetic with experience and looking for a change give us a call.

Financial Accounting

  • Assist with preparation and analysis of financial data
  • Assist with processing of journals and reconciling general ledger account
  • Identifying anomalies to ensure all reporting is accurate and reliable
  • Assist with preparation of assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliation
  • Assist with CAPEX and Fixed Asset processing
  • Ownership of Shopify Sales process and reconciliation
  • Processing credit cards to general ledger monthly
  • Assist Senior Accountant with Treasury functions when required

Accounts Receivable

  • Cash receipting daily and month end
  • Ensuring accurate close-off, reporting and rolling of Accounts Receivable system
  • Assisting clients with their requests

Credit Control

  • Collecting AR in an efficient manner in line with agreed payment terms with a minimum standard of 75% AR monthly cashflow collections
  • Liaising with sales reps to ensure that the receipting process is allocated correctly. 
  • Handling disputed accounts and negotiating to bring payments in line with payment terms
  • Help resolving issues in relation to invoicing.
  • Work closely with Senior Accountant to implement and new credit control processes

About you

  • Minimum 3 years accounts experience
  • 2 years accounts receivable and credit control experience
  • High energy team player with keen eye for detail
  • NetSuite advantageous or similar Xero/MYOB Advance Experience
  • Print IQ (advantageous)
  • Intermediate Excel and word skills
  • Knowledge of ProMap an advantage

Account Manager

As SCG’s Sales Account Manager, your role is to sell print, design and creative solutions to existing and new clients, and meet or exceed your monthly sales targets.  We want you to look at the marketing spend of each client with a view to gaining the lions share, through building trusted working relationships with our clients.

Your skills are critical to the success of the business, but this is a no prima-donna operation. Everyone is here to produce great work and have fun on the way.  This requires accurate quoting, detailed job bags, reasonable timeframes and correct delivery specifications – our production team are experts and here to make your jobs shine and will work for a tight deadline to ensure the job is done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters relating to your customers
  • Scope and understand your customers marketing and collateral needs and sell SCG print, creative and design solutions to meet those needs.
  • Take a brief and calculate the quotation using PRINT IQ quoting software.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with your key accounts.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
  • Monitor the changing requirements of the customer
  • Keep the end in mind when quoting and designing work for clients. 
  • Find cost-effective solutions to stay ahead of our competitors.
  • Conduct ongoing research on competitors’ products, prices and customer bases. 
  • Negotiate on price (within agreed parameters) delivery window and production lead times with customers and production team to obtain the sale
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Identify and grow opportunities within client base and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.

About You

  • Proven track record as a successful Account Manager
  • Experience in Signage / Large Format print sales an advantage
  • Print quoting experience – Print IQ software or similar 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large accounts
  • Tech savvy

Mailhouse Operator

Are you a mail house operator with experience with Sitma machines and bulk mail equipment.  We are looking for someone who can be responsible for operating our mailing equipment in order to produce and collating mailing campaigns which adhere to our mail house quality standards, including completing mailing jobs accurately and in time to meet delivery and lodgement specifications.

About the job

  • Stock Inventory check and confirmation all required stock for any job is in hand
  • Set up, operate, and shut down computerized mailing machinery
  • Familiar with NZ Post or any other distribution channel requirements and presenting jobs correctly for lodgement
  • Adheres to a culture that embraces quality assurance
  • Stock management – monthly stock takes and stock orders
  • Documentation of own daily production figures
  • Perform basic machinery maintenance and cleaning requirements
  • Ensure quality samples are retained in the job bags
  • Assist with collating, packing, picking and other duties as required
  • Assist with digital print finishing work

About You

  • Mail house experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable to work as a sole operator
  • A history of working in roles requiring accuracy and precision 
  • Able to work multiple machines competently

Sheet-fed Printer

We are currently recruiting a Sheet-fed Offset Printer to work on our Komori A1 Press in our factory in Mount Wellington. We work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week.

Experience on Komori printing presses is essential and Heidelberg presses preferred but not essential as full training will be provided to a suitable applicant.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be physically fit, reliable and have:

  • Komori press experience essential
  • Heidelberg press an advantage.
  • An eye for detail and ability to produce high quality work.
  • A team player who isn’t afraid to ask questions.
  • A great attitude.
  • A forklift license (preferable)

This is a physical and fast-paced role, where you will work in partnership with an assistant to operate the press as efficiently as possible. A mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and good communication are all essential skills for this role.

Digital Printer - Labels

We are looking for a Digital Printer and Finisher to join our SCG and Rocket team. 

About the role

As a Rocket Print Digital Printer and Finisher, the main purpose is the operation of the HP Indigo 6K press and Finishing equipment.

  • Produce printing and finishing jobs as instructed
  • Use PrintIQ capacity planner and update PrintIQ and interactive sheet on all work
  • Regular maintenance of machinery, cleanliness and adherence to the 5S regimes

About you

You will have the following skills and experience 

  • Digital printing experience
  • Experience in HP Indigo 6k, Reel fed and shrink film would be an advantage
  • Skills and experience on Digicon (or similar) finishing machine
  • PrintIQ experience an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure with inquisitive nature and strong attention to detail
