Air New Zealand

As part of their ongoing partnership with the Department of Conservation (DOC), Air New Zealand put on a very special flight for a handful of very special passengers.

18 DOC-raised takahe, a species once thought to be extinct, boarded their own private plane bound for their new home in Kahurangi Regional Park. It’s the first time in over 100 years that these beautiful birds have been released back in the wild, and it's taken decades of dedication and hard work from conservationists, community groups and local iwi to make it possible.

It’s a seriously special moment, and the Good team were tasked with the seriously special job of promoting it so the whole of New Zealand could get a peek at these precious passengers.

Using their considerable talents in content strategy and digital promotion, the team shared the takahe’s transportation online across a variety of channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, eDMs and the Good website.

Kiwis everywhere voiced their appreciation for these bold, sassy birds on their way to new adventures in the true spirit of Aotearoa. And in the true spirit of smart online promotion, we ensured we had compelling content and an excellent plan for online visibility.
