As New Zealand’s leading conscious-living wellbeing magazine, the Good team recognised there was an opportunity for an awards platform that elevated and championed brands doing the mahi in this space.

When the idea was pitched to HealthPost it was a meeting of minds and the subsequent partnership for the inaugural 2020 Best of Natural Awards, and 2022 Awards, perfectly aligned.

HealthPost, a leading retailer in the wellbeing space, is committed to helping people on their health, wellness and sustainability journey, which mirrors Good magazine’s values.

The Best of Natural Awards sets the standard for excellence in natural, ethical, and sustainable health and wellness.

HealthPost also has a resident naturopath as part of their team, which meant quality/expert judges.

The 2023 judges – HealthPost registered naturopath, herbalist and cosmetic chemist Liz McNamara, beauty expert Sara Corleison and wellness expert Rachel Grunwell – spent hundreds of hours testing and trialling the products before deciding on 37 category winners from 400 entries.

Additionally, a People’s Choice Award enabled members of the public to vote for their favourite brand from the category winners with more than 8000 people casting their vote.

The Best of Natural Awards were promoted via print in Good magazine over four issues as well as online at goodmagazine.co.nz and through Good’s eDM and social channels.

The campaign has been hugely successful with brands lining up to enter future awards, brands promoting their awards at retail and through social, and HealthPost has gained new retail customers as well as grown the brands they represent on their online store.

The Best of Natural Awards has strengthened trust in Good and HealthPost, has achieved better brand reach and educated our readers to make wiser choices when shopping, as well as increasing website traffic numbers.
