Wine improves with age – so birthdays are an important affair!
Lion Brewery Co enlisted the help of dish magazine to celebrate the 25th birthday of Wither Hills winery in style. The party took place at Pilkington’s restaurant on Monday May 13th – an elegant, exclusive and exciting Dine with dish event.
Like all good birthdays, it began with an enticing invitation. Several, in fact:
1. An event teaser was included in dish’s weekly eDM for Thursday April 11th, with subscribers encouraged to register their interest.
2. A solus eDM was sent out on Tuesday April 16th, inviting all subscribers to attend.
3. Posts went out on Facebook and Instagram between April 16th and 22nd.
4. The event also featured on eDMs sent on April 18th and 24th.
The event sold out in record time, with all 80 spaces filled by April 25th.
The birthday celebrations began at 6pm on Monday May 13th, with three canapés and a flute of Frivoli. Once everyone was seated, there were speeches from the Head Chef and dish Editor Sarah Tuck. Guests then enjoyed four courses, each matched with two Wither Hills wines.
Photos and updates were posted on Instagram during the night, boosting brand awareness and promoting the Dine with dish series. Video footage was also taken and turned into a short video, which was uploaded to YouTube and showcased across numerous digital and social channels.
Guests left with a luxury gift bag featuring an issue of dish and a variety of products selected with quality and brand alignment in mind.
Overall, it was an evening of good food, fine wine, pleasurable company and plenty of positive promotion.
